Description
I was contracted by the St. Pius X parish to create a fresco of da Vinci's Last Supper using school children to stand in for the Apostles. Remarkably it came together under divine-like good fortune.

I had very recently met and contracted with a photographer/photo illustrator. He posed the kids in groups that could interact with each other, making the work more natural and intimate vs. posed and grandiose. After hundreds of hours of work between the two of us, the digital file was divided into 480 mosaic squares, then transferred to 4" x 4" ceramic tiles. The tiles were then adhered to an open void in a new construction wall set aside for the piece.
