Description
I was retained by the Lake Highlands Public Improvement District to create art to vinyl wrap a traffic cabinet — a 6' tall metal box containing traffic signal electronics.
A peacock theme was suggested to pay homage to a local landmark, the peacocks of White Rock Stables. The design is an exploration of the figurative transforming into abstraction by combining multiple tile densities (pixel resolutions) within a single piece. Elements of the peacock are figurative or abstract depending on viewing distance.
The cabinet wrap is to be installed early May 2023.
